System Requirements¶

What if I want to use an unsupported web browser?

While Chrome and Edge are the only officially supported browsers, other Chromium based browsers are likely to work for the most part. The same is true for Firefox.

One known issue for Firefox is that the built-in GPU detection does not work correctly, so you will probably need to manually update the render performance settings “Active GPU Profile”.

See also this FAQ for details on other issues encountered with various browsers.

The 3LC Dashboard should provide a smooth visualization experience on all discrete and high-end integrated graphics cards (GPUs). However, you might have to manually enable your browser to use your discrete GPU.

Note

Since the 3LC Dashboard provides interactive 2D- and 3D-plots, it is recommended run the Dashboard in a web browser on your local machine to get the best performance. This is preferable to using remote desktop technologies to access a browser running on a remote machine.
